Hey everyone... try and guess my name... yeah, it's Matt. I'm 17 and a sophmore in highschool as well as an Missionary Kid to Berlin . I'm originally from Massachusetts, but I've spent over half of my life here in Germany. My hobbies include reading, writing, roleplaying, listening to music, and debating theology (heh heh).

Thanks for the welcome. Germany is different, to say the least. The most similar place to Germany in the US would be Massachusetts I think.

Waeell.. my brother (in law ) is a German and he and my sister really dislike Germany. The leaders are all so pukey and corrupted and they tax you on everything. But now that they have moved to America he has joined the army and he's going to be a citizen soon! Woo!

Well, first off, I am booting NazareneAB out of the 'old fogey' spot. I'll see your "thirty-something" and raise you another "thirty-something"!
I am a retired computer programmer (IBM mainframes ... 'big iron') after about 38 years in the field. I dabble occasionally in C and C++ on the PC, but my interest level has dropped 'way down.
Maybe it's because I am packing on a few years myself, but I enjoy going to the local nursing home/convalescent center to help with church services two Sundays a month. We hold two services of an hour each at the two buildings (across the street from each other) that comprise the complex.
We also serve a lunch the third Sunday of every month at the local Union Gospel Mission. About once every two or three months, the message actuallly gets through to someone, and a bell rings somewhere in Heaven.
"We" refers to the half-dozen or so from the same church congregation that participates in these ministries. The youngest is in his late forties, the oldest is eighty-nine years and nine months young. (Walks rings around most of us.)
